Vegas Nightlife

Well the past 6 months have been nothing but great news for the city of Las Vegas in what can only amount to being called the best economic outlook in years. All major casino’s have reported earnings for quarter 1 and it isn’t even summer yet! But this year Las Vegas can expect numbers like it has never experienced before.

Summer is around the corner, and there is one big difference from last year, a gigantic difference actually. With the addition of the multi-million dollar party plaza, Hakkasan Nightclub, investors and economists are all speculating now about the future of Las Vegas and wondering if they were looking in the right direction..

Since 2006 Las Vegas’ nightlife scene has kicked up more than a notch, try a whole new level! Making other party capitals around the world look like Downtown Las Vegas, Sin City has quite simply evolved into the biggest party city on the planet. Now that’s not a boast, with Hakkasan reportedly breaking records its first week in business, other ritzy clubs that are slated to open before summer will look to compete not only with the Asian themed mega-club, but to compete with the already well known establishments that have cemented themselves in their respective venues.

Casinos will be looking to support their profitable satellites any way they can, and the way things are looking that means bigger and especially LOUDER! Dj’s are now flocking to what is called the nightlife Mecca in can what only be described as a metaphorical gold rush to land a residency contract in one of the bustling clubs on The Strip.Dj’s like Skrillex and DeadMau5 have no problem selling out an entire arena much less a nightclub, so it’s no surprise they aren’t settling for peanuts when it comes to signing a contract on a weekly gig. Furthermore the simple fact that clubs are projecting business to be well enough to keep a world touring Dj on retainer is a sure sign that Las Vegas Nightlife is on the fast track to recovering the right way, in fact it can be called the Vegas way!

With the addition of the new mega club “Light” slated to open relatively soon it looks like all the existing big boys are going to have to crank things up a few levels to make their spot the more attractive option. While promoters have been outdoing themselves the last couple of months preparing for the inevitable pilgrimage of visitors from around the world thanks to Las Vegas’ infamous reputation of being a summer paradise. While it’s going to be a hard fight competing with Hakkasan which boasts a 2 star Michelin rated restaurant as well as three stories of club and the biggest dance floor in Vegas. But Vegas is full of fighters, so keep an eye out, things are going to get interesting!
